Don't Judge.

Who are we to judge others?

Just think, you may have seen a person who wears long sleeves everyday and hangs out with the "emo" crowd. What if that person has been pushed away by everyone that she thought loved her? What if she cuts herself in pursuit to escape the way she's feeling, and she wears long sleeves so that people won't see the cuts that were made to free herself from a world that judges so easily?

You see, the thing is we judge based on appearances. We push people away when they are the least bit different from what we are used to. Our judgement of others will never be completely truthful because we are NOT the Creator. God knows every single person on the Earth, and He is the only one who knows exactly what they are going through. It is not and never will be your place to judge someone else because you don't understand them the way the Father does. Instead of judging them, reach out your hand and show them that you are there for them.

Matthew 7:1-2 : Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For by the standard you judge you will be judged, and the measure you use will be the measure you receive.

This verse has taught me that I must not judge someone based off of what I see or hear.  How can we judge righteously when half of  the time we know nothing about who/what we are judging?

We are humans, so judging other people to make ourselves feel better is slightly irresistible sometimes. Because of this, we must keep our hearts close to the Lord. He will protect your mind from worldly thoughts and help keep you from saying evil things.

God loves everyone equally, so don't put someone down because they are different.
